Nail Trends I'm Living in for Fall 2019

Need some inspiration for your fall #manimonday? Below are a few of the recent interviews I've done discussing the must-have colors and patterns for your digits this season. I spoke with editors at ABC News, Today and Refinery29 to give my take on what's trending, and I wanted to share what I told them with you!

Skittles Mani

  1. Transitional Trends

In this article with ABC News, I talked about how you can keep those fun, bright summer shades going through November if you wear them as part of a tonal "Skittles" nail look. Ombre nails, as they're also known, have been a super popular look this year, and if you pair bright pinks and reds with more muted corals and magentas the overall effect can help you transition to a fall color scheme. I recommended five different shades from Gelish so you can mimic this exact look too.

2. Falling for Fall

If you aren't a fan of a multi-hued mani, you might like my top pick for a fall shade this year. “Deep purples are one of my go-to shades the moment that first leaf falls. This deep hue has a micro-shimmer to it, making it appear extra shiny and luxurious," I told TODAY.” Click here to find out what OPI shade I recommended.

If you aren't fan of the color of royalty, in the article I also recommended a Zoya color for a softer rose mani as well as a metallic copper by Essie. There's something for everyone - from 9am on Monday to 9pm on Friday.

3. French mani’s are back because yes, they left

There has been a TON of buzz about the French mani being back on trend — some say it never even left. As one of the backstage artists that set the trends with the designers every season, I can confirm that it indeed, left but has officially returned this year. I designed a twist on a French mani with Project Runway alumnus Christian Siriano for his Spring/Summer runway show in September. It was so much fun collaborating on a design together and I think you'll love the result. Hint: It includes glitter!
