British "Queens" Nail their Golden Globe Red Carpet Beauty Looks

British Queens were certainly the theme of this weekend's 76th annual Golden Globes.

Awards season officially kicked off in LA this weekend with the Golden Globes. I had the pleasure of working with two British actresses, Olivia Colman (The Crown, and nominated for her role as Queen Anne in The Favourite), and rising star, Lucy Boynton (Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody).  Are you picking up on the “queen” coincidences yet?

So how were the royal nails this weekend? Let me break them down for you:

My morning began with Lucy Boynton, who played Eddie Mercury’s long-term girlfriend in the stunning Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody, nominated for Drama Motion Picture.

It was a toss up between a nude polish and a deep red for her, but the deep red won out easily after the British actress showed me her gold beaded Celine gown. Blood red Chanel EMBLÉMATIQUE was the perfect cherry on top of her 1960’s red carpet look, complete with Twiggy-esqe lashes and a “breakout bob”.

My second stop was my new “favourite” human, Olivia Colman. Olivia was nominated for her role in the historical period comedy-drama, The Favourite. She made me real English tea (!!) and we tested polish shades together, setting on Chanel ORGANDI, an opaque light dusty peach that truly shined on her skin.

The nominee-winner wore British designer Stella McCartney (natch) as she gave the most joyous thank you speech I’ve ever seen.

And Bohemian Rhapsody won Best Motion Picture in the Drama category, making it truly a night fit for a few Queens.
